All the unit Heads of Jammu Province sends vehicles requiring repair of their respective units under their seal and signatures to PTWS Jammu through designated driver of each vehicle. |

Such vehicles are normally received in PTWS Jammu by or before 1100 hours. However, vehicles requiring emergent nature of repair are received in PTWS Jammu round the clock |

Each and every communication being received in this unit with regard to the repair are marked to Foreman through Dy.SP by the SP.PTWS Jammu for the entry of the vehicle in PTWS Jammu. |

Accordingly, Foreman endorse the letter to Vehicle Record/Concerned Section for checking of the vehicle and for the preparation of Job Card. |

Subsequently,after checking the vehicle by the respective section, I/C Section will give its report with regard to requisition of spare parts. |

Later on, the requisition of I/C Section shall goes to the vehicle record section for preparation of Parts Requisition List. |

Consequently, Parts Requisition Lists are being sent to I/C Store Keeper in connection with the availability of spare parts in the store or otherwise, rates and list of authorised dealers from whom such parts are required to be purchased. |

After that, Store Keeper marks the rates on the P.R.List and shall submit the same (vehicle to vehicle basis)in Procurement Section of PTWS. |

I/C Procurement section shall see that if the requirement is below `5000/-, he shall put up the case to SP.PTWS Jammu for purchasing of Spare parts on vehicle to vehicle basis and if the requirement is above `5000/- the case again on vehicle to vehicle basis shall be submitted to IGP Technical Services for accord of necessary sanction. |

In case of requirement below `5000/-, I/C Procurement section after getting necessary approval from SP,PTWS Jammu shall issue supply order on vehicle to vehicle cases under the seal and signatures of SP.PTWS Jammu. |

After the issuance of supply orders, chairman alongwith other members of Purchase committee Survey the market and make purchases on the lowest rates and genuine parts are to be purchased by them. |

After receiving the spare parts by the storekeeper from the purchase committee, such parts are to be survey by the Survey committee. |

After making the survey of such parts, these parts shall be issued to I/C section in accordance with the issue requisition through Job Card Section. |

Concerned mechanic shall fit the required parts in the vehicle in presence of the designated driver. |

After fitment of requisite parts, such vehicles are being tried by the I/C Section as well as by the concerned driver. |

After making the necessary entry of parts replaced in the history sheet of the vehicle and in the register of Job Card Section, vehicles are being given gate pass dully signed by the Foreman. |

Vehicles requiring sanction beyond Rs.5000/- are being repaired in PTWS Jammu after receiving proper sanction from Headquarters Technical Services/PHQ as the case may be after adopting the aforesaid chain of procedure(as has been mentioned at Para No.10 to 16). |
